Life as it happens

2 months

So, only 2 more months left until I walk down the aisle and stand next to the man I love and say ‘I Do Always and Forever’ and become Ms. Casserly. Two more months! SO Crazy. Considering the wedding countdown started at 14 months and now we only have 2 months left! CRAZY!

We found our plane tickets for our honeymoon today! We are going to Kauai, Hawaii. We really wanted to get an evening flight the day after the wedding that way we could have a brunch and say goodbye to all of our out of town guests. But we could only find a morning flight and our hotel room is already booked [we are staying at his parent’s time share]. So, we will say all of our goodbyes the night of the wedding. Its not all that bad since all of my family is coming in town like a week before the wedding so we will have plenty of time to catch up.

I booked my last vender the other day. So planning is pretty much done. All we have left is making favors and seating chart. YAY! Almost done with all of the planning and preperation!

Smooth sailing…

No one said wedding planning was easy or a breeze. Actually, people tell you the exact opposite. They tell you that weddings will bring out the worst in people and that it is alot of planning and is stressfull. They also tell you how fast time goes by [which I REALLY should have trusted their word because time really does fly by]. The wedding checklist itself is stressfull just to look at. All of those boxes that need to be checked off and no matter how many boxes get checked, it still seems neverending.

Well, for the most part wedding planning has been a breeze. I have gotten all of my dreams and more. However, one section of my wedding planning has been nothing but a nightmare. Finding Keeping bridesmaids. Well, not all bridesmaids. Just one of the bridesmaids spots. First was a friend. who got a pretty much body length tattoo. Then got pregnant and couldnt fit into her already purchased dress. And altering already too small dress [she was planning on losing alot of weight] to fit a 7 month pregnant girl was not gonna happen. Oh and did I mention I happened to pick out dresses that you could not order in different sizes and I wiped the store out of their stock. Yea. Not fitting in your dress is a big deal. So her replacement was a groomsman’s girlfriend. Well that lasted about 2 months and then they got into a NASTY break up and I was forced to remove her and replace her with the bestmans wife [who should have been my number 1 choice. what was I thinking!] Now with two months and 2 days before the wedding, lets hope I dont have to find another bridesmaid.

Thanks!

Where to begin…

Well, I guess I should begin and the begining of it all. I was 15 years old the first time I saw Kyle. He has shirtless and playing football with a bunch of friends at the local community pool. My friend Raychel and I were out tanning during one of the staff development days where we didn’t have to go to school. We were louging and the boys were playing catch. Either Kyle was a bad catcher, or he was purposly missing so he could climb out of the pool and walk over by us and grab the ball. This happened a few times, and every time he got out of the pool I was mesmorized. I leaned over to Raychel and said, ‘See that boy right there? I am going to marry him someday!’ She started cracking up and said I was crazy! I never spoke to him that day.

That night I went on AIM and started talking to a classmate of mine who was also there at the pool that day and asked him who his tall blonde friend was. He told me his name was Kyle and gave me his screenname so I could talk to him. I got the courage to start chatting with him. We chatted the night away. I was going to be missing the next two days of school to go on some college tours and the following week was spring break.

We decided to go on a double date that Saturday. I brought Raychel and he brought Randy (the guy who gave me his screenname). We went and saw 50 first dates. He was just as cute as I remembered. During spring break we continued to chat online and then that Wednesday we met at the pool and hung out. That night he asked me out online. I know lame right. But Kyle is super shy! I still thought it was cute. We dated for a few weeks secretly, because I wasn’t allowedto date yet. I then got tired of constantly lying to my parents, so I called things off. Kyle wasn’t having this, so he decided to ask my dad for permission to date me. Which is a super rare find in the 21st century! My dad was so shocked my the gesture that he had to say yes to a young man who had enough courage to ask my 6’5 Harley Davidson driving dad.

The following week was my friends seet sixteen out at Temecula Creek Inn. I invited Kyle to go as my date. That night Kyle asked me to be his girlfriend and told me he asked my dad for permission and that I was now allowed to date. I was so shocked and quickly said yes. From there on out we were inseperatable. We dated all through highschool. After 5 1/2 years of dating, on July 17th, 2009. Kyle proposed. (that story in itself is its own blog, complete with pictures!) So here we are happily engaged planning our wedding for September 10, 2010 at Temecula Creek Inn. The location where he asked me out (the second time… lets pretend the internet one didnt happen! hehe)

So thats the introduction to our story. We are so excited to keep adding more chapters to our story together. Next step wedding =]] It is going to be an amazing day. I will be sure to keep this blog updated with everything to do with life and the wedding planning!
